The Great Gatsby Inspires My Interior Design School
The team at My Interior Design School have used the recent blockbuster film ‘The Great Gatsby’ to inspire an interior design scheme.
Based on the films’ 1920s setting, the monochrome scheme evokes the glamorous, decadent mood of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel and film.
Using bold patterns, striking contrasts, texture and the reflective qualities of a contemporary wallpaper; brings this ‘Great Gatsby’ look together.
As Design Director, Rachael Kilby-Tyre explains: “This 1920’s inspired scheme could work well in any home today. Combined with high-gloss surfaces and chrome furniture, the overall look evokes decadence and indulgence and can create a powerful style statement.”
