With the Easter weekend upon us and the promise of sunny skies, lots of us will be relaxing in the garden.
What’s the best way to enjoy your time outside, to feel really comfortable and keep it stylish at the same time?
Here we give you tips to bring interior styling outside.
Cushions
For added comfort and practicality, use plenty of cushions in your seating area. But choose cushions which are specifically for outdoor use. These are made from specialist fabrics, which look like an interior fabric, but have the advantage of being water-repellent and sun proof too.

Rugs
Rugs made for outdoor living can be the perfect way to zone an area. They can really add to that sense of bringing the indoor out.

Make sure you choose a rug specified for outdoor use, otherwise it will not survive any damp days and could bleach in the sunlight.

Throws
Keep throws nearby, so you can keep warm and enjoy being outside for longer, in the cooler evenings.
Choose throws in a colour which works both inside your home and complements the colours of your outside seating area.
Dress The Table

For a really relaxed feel and a great way to bring the indoors out, think ‘decadent dining’ and dress your outdoor dining table.
Mix up your textiles and layer up with table cloths, napkins and accessories for an eclectic look.
Bring out any candles and lanterns from inside, to add a sense of drama and style to your outdoor space.

A Colour Mood Board
Our student Bex created this lovely harmonious colour mood board. We think it could be the inspiration for a fabulous outdoor living area, don’t you?
Enjoy your Easter weekend!
