Want to be a Colour Consultant?
The growth of Colour Consultants who can visit your home to advise about paint colours has grown significantly in the last few years.
Now, for a fee, some paint companies will offer an in-house service to help you get the look and feel you want in a room.
This trend is developing quickly and at My Interior Design School – courses on colour theory and how to put colours together are the most popular.
As Course Director, Anne Wall explains:
“Students used to sign up on our courses “to become interior designers” – now the trend is to be more specialised and they want us to train them as Colour Consultants”.
Gone are the days of magnolia and bland, neutral interiors. Clients want statement walls, dramatic backdrops and bold schemes – which they can still live with.
Understanding their needs and how to put colours together is a skill for a Colour Consultant – and with this new trend set to get even bigger, more homes will be inviting them in.
