My Interior Design School has launched a new one-day workshop.
Design Masterclass will be a fabulous introduction to the world of interior design – and is perfect for those wanting more guidance for their own home-styling projects or those thinking about a career in interior design.
In a small class, students will be guided through the design process by My Interior Design School’s Design Director, Rachael Kilby-Tyre. With her 25 years experience as an interior designer, qualified Tutor and member of BIID (British Institute of Interior Design) – students will receive expert guidance via an illustrated talk and series of practical, hands-on tasks, designer top-tips and advice.
Course Director, Anne Wall explains: “We are really excited about this new Design Masterclass. It’s a very comprehensive course and we want our guests to leave feeling inspired – having learnt new skills and feeling full of confidence”.
Students will learn more about:
- The Design Process – a step-by-step guide
- Inspiration – your starting point for a scheme
- Colour School™ – how to get confident with colour
- Finding your own style – from ‘shabby chic’ to contemporary
- Understanding lighting design
- Drawing plans and ergonomics
Guests will create their own scheme board to take home and receive an My Interior Design School Diploma.
The interior Design Masterclasses will take place at The George Hotel, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire on Saturday 23rd April or Saturday 1st October 2016, from 10am – 4pm. The day costs £195 and includes course materials, fabrics, course notes, refreshments and lunch.
