“With such a love of interiors, art and design this show couldn’t be any more up my street”. Fearne Cotton
We have exciting news about a BBC2 / Netflix show Project Interiors.
Back in the Spring, we told you about a new series where 10 amateur interior designers will be competing to win a life-changing design contract with a prestigious commercial client.
For those of you who are missing The Great Interior Design Challenge this promises to be an exciting opportunity to watch designers hoping to impress the panel of judges, to win the coveted prize.
And what a line-up of judges it is. Michelle Ogundehin, former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine will be enlisting the help of guest judges including Mary Portas, Jade Jagger and Matthew Williamson.
It will be presented by Fearne Cotton, who admits to being ‘thrilled to be part of this show’. We are really excited about Project Interiors too.
“It will be great to see amateur designers tackle different spaces each week” says Rachael Kilby-Tyre, My Interior Design School’s Design Director. “We will see them working to a design brief, deadlines and managing a project – while still having to be practical and creative. It sounds challenging and it will be fascinating to see how they get on”.
The contestants will be working in teams and designing hair dressing salons, holiday homes and hotel bedrooms, all under the beady eye of the expert judges – and us of course! We hope you will be tuning in too, to get a taste of what life is like as an interior designer.
